Oh dear, not another blog…
I have been toying with the idea of starting this blog for a long time. I am an archaeologist by background, and am currently at the point of getting my feet on the first rungs of the ladder of a career in the heritage industry in the UK. Like many (or even most) people in the heritage sector, I love talking about archaeology and the heritage sector with anyone who will talk with me.
There are many fantastic blogs covering archaeology and heritage that I have always enjoyed following as a way to keep up to speed with everything going on (more on those in a later post) and it has been the e-book that I am currently current reading, the newly released Blogging Archaeology, edited by Doug Rocks-Macqueen and Chris Webster, which has really pushed me to give this a real shot. I enjoy being a part of the dialogue between archaeology, heritage and the “outside world”, and what better platform to expand my contribution than through blogging.
So here goes… check back in with me for my take on what is going on in archaeology and in the heritage sector, from debates to current events and things to see and do.
